Mark, I thought you might ...
like to see what the 1924 Diaz Cigarettes card of Wingfield looks like. FYI, this obscure Cuban set consists solely of pitchers, and these cards are rather scarce.
Wingfield played very little with the Senators, and as bad luck would have it, he was sold to the Red Sox on September 10, 1924; had Wingfield remained with the Senators until the end of the season, he would have been a member of Washington's only World Series winner! But, he got to pitch quite a lot in 1925 & 1926 with the Red Sox A little shameful promotion - I am looking to buy or trade for other Senators cards in this set. Val
