Of course, Chance was the only one of the three that went back as early as 1898. Here he is (player #12) ..................

Thanks for the great ideas and the scans! Not sure which I like best; the T205s look great, but I sort of like the 'action' shots with the color backgrounds of the T206s or even the American Caramels, too. Exactly how I get sucked in - I like lots of things, so I start collecting them all....

I am going to the National in a few weeks; seems like this is a good project to add to my shopping list!

What are thoughts about raw versus graded on vintage cards? How do you make sure you aren't buying forgeries or trimmed cards?

i'd say T206 tinker hands on knees, evers blue sky,and chance port red background.

I've been trying to find the Chance for 15 years . . . I'll keep trying, though. I know they exist. I have the T202, a good choice. I personally think the T205 trio is a great option.
