his stats were still impressive.... especially seeing as they have him on a pitch count. Not really his fault his team cannot score a run!

Does anyone realize that the Strasburg card is now up to $102,000.

Took my boys to see him pitch this afternoon... struck out nine but didn't seem to have his best stuff. Never got over 98 on the radar. But the kid is for real... even if those bids aren't. No way someone is actually going to pay over $100K for that card.

i read the write up on the game and they blamed his pitching speed on the heat.... apparently you cant pitch quite as fast when it is hot out?
You never know what someone will pay for something they really want.... the high bidders have alot of feedback... remember what we were saying last week... no one would spend 16 k... the guy thought he got a great deal on the card! I seen him on tv talking about it

That price is ridiculous, stupid, moronic and whoever pays that for that card when you could buy a house, or a great rare old card/set is a total fool.

Whatever floats their boat. I think the hype is good for the hobby at this moment. 5 years from now when the card hits $20 it will be bad for the hobby. Look at all the Pub it's getting. It may bring people back and start collecting again. As for the price. I'll never understand it, but since I'm not bidding, I don't need to understand it.
Another thing I don't understand is the variations of the 1/1's. I guess a true 1/1 would be only one? Not 10 different colored 1/1's. Just me I guess. |
