Since these are track and field cards I guess this is the best place to post this.
These five cards have come from my Dad's collection. We don't have any info regarding the time of printing, number of cards, or how they were distributed. (I would guess in packs of candy or crackers) He actually told me that he would be surprised if I found anything about them. Other than a single paragraph transcribed on a genealogy website I can't even find info regarding the company. Any help would be appreciated. Brian ![]()

My understanding is that Capital Candy had some affiliation (merged with?) with Pacific Coast Biscuit. This ephemera supports that. I can't believe someone asked about this obscure company and even more can't believe these pieces are actually timely in a discussion....best regards

Brian, Great cards. Wish he had some boxers. I'd go after them in a heartbeat. Leon provided some good info!

Checklist with yours.............
1 Sam Bellah Champion Heavy Weight Lifter and Pole Vaulter 2 Ralph Craig 100 Meters, 200 Meters, 200 Yards 3 Pat Donovan 56 lb. weight thrower, Worlds Record 4 Fred W. Kelly 100M Hurdles, 1912 Olympics 5 Walter Pomeroy Swimming Record, Golden Gate, San Francisco 6 Alfred Shrubb 2-3-4-5-10 Mile Run Worlds Records They'll be in an as-yet-to-be-published book on E cards........E1-E300 and about 40-50 uncataloged sets. Kind of a crossover issue because it was Capital Candy & Cracker, so I guess they could fall into a D issue maybe. Thanks for the editions to the checklist............ Wow, you guys are good. We have a handful of different odds and ends like this, this is the main one that is sports related that we couldn't link to a specific set. Now on to the birds/cars/actors/other...
Thanks Brian Had to laugh at the combination- Crackers, cakes, candies, macaroni, fireworks, and nuts.
