OTish: Anyone remember the card dealer on the dish back in the 90's?
Does anyone happen to remember the dealer that used to sell cards on the air back in like 92-94ish? You all know the big dish in the back yard, before cable was in all areas West Virginia for folks like me, back in the day.
I am not talking about the screaming guys that sold the modern stuff. This was like a no programming kind of thing with nice prewar. I think they shipped from Knoxville. You could call in and they would turn the cards over for you, and everything was live bidding over the phone. You never knew what they were going to have up. That was the best thing that ever!! There were not a lot of shows in my area back in the day with good prewar stuff. I usually bought all the T cards that walked into the community shows in souther WVA because we didn't know what the hell it was, and nobody else wanted to pay for them. I was just wondering if anyone knows who I am talking about, and if they are still in the game, in some manner. Thanks, Bob |
