I think a few years back someone found this postcard with a postmark that predated Ruth in Boston and positively confirmed it was NOT Ruth. I remember one selling in a Goodwin Auction as Ruth for $1000 too but that was before the earlier postmark was discovered!

There are a few versions of this classic pc. Great image of early Fenway. Im guessing opening day, 1912 because of the billboards along the fbl.
For a sweet shot, after the field was shrunk and temporary stands were added to snag more $$ for the 1912 World Series. Note the same billboards. http://tinyurl.com/35rlttm
