Great pickups Mark! The Reds jacket is killer and you're not kidding about those Italian figures being impossible to find in that kind of condition. Those things are normally wrecked! I've never seen any near the pristine condition of yours.

Yeah... I should have bought more in retrospect. There were about 8-9 of them (all MINT) on ebay recently. I just picked my 3 favorites, but now kinda regret not going after the whole group.

In the spirit of Jimmy's magnificent tie-in pieces, here is a neat little item I was thrilled to find... a newspaper ad from 1909, featuring this very game. Not many of these survived, but it looks like they did promote it pretty well a century or so ago...

Atta Boy Mark! Now THAT is a killer companion piece! A matching newspaper ad over 100 years ago?! How in the world did you ever find that?

Best, Jimmy

Nice small item.
Same front as used for playing cards with varying advertising logos at base.
This cards though is from the cuban league. It is a schedule for the 1951-1952 season. It also appears to be sponsored by Guinness.

Default 1879 Harvard vs Yale Scorecard

Been looking for one of these early scorecards for a long time. A friend traded me this today. Happy to have it.

Recapping some May pickups:
First is a 1930's-40's St. Louis Cardinals figural statue
Next is a set of 1920's folk-art carved chalkware figurals
And lastly a set of Milwaukee Braves indian head wall plaques.

This abused dog is still, a charmer. White tape is a repair by me. I hope to replace all the tape with acid-free.

This just about completes my busy month and my 1934 Gas House Gang project. Another hard to find autograph...Jim Winford. Would have preferred a nice 3x5 but I'm afraid beggers can't be choosers on this one. May upgrade later but for now I have only one person left out of 34 for this project...Branch Rickey, and he's a fairly easy one.
