You'll probably need a plastic surgeon or a urologist for that.

I'm pretty certain Peter is more in the mid-range grade in that department. Perhaps a VG++++. Like the description on the label it sounds awesome.

Hey Jeff - it's Fred Dunlap. Nice pick-up.

edited to add:
[BTW - in resonse to a few communications - I have to make it clear that this was a joke - the point was to show how easy it was to find a ballplayer that "resembles" almost any given photo.]

Default trustworthy?

I'm new to collecting, and am just wondering if you all consider it safe to bid with Legendary.

Thanks!

Hi - welcome to pre-war! What do you mean by "safe?" You will get what you win if you win something if that's your concern.

Thanks for the welcome and the quick replies! By "safe," I mean: are their descriptions/assessments correct? In terms of identifying the items correctly, and condition.

Some of the descriptions seem to lack the proper amount of detail (especially re: condition) that I might like for an internet auction.

If you have an issue with a description you can call them and ask for more details. I've done it many times and they have been very cooperative.

My experiences have all been positive since the split with Mastro as well. I understand the various criticisms, but also think that many on this Board have put them under a microscope, with far more scrutiny than any other auction house (except for maybe Coach's Corner).

But from my personal experience, everything has been exactly as described and shipped securely/promptly. Hope this helps...

No problems with Legendary other than their sending me a G/VG 1955 Bowman set instead of an EX/EXMT 1955 Bowman set (which I won) in the same auction. When I called them they apologized and took care of getting the right set to me.
