Where do you find this stuff Jimmy? I agree though, you can't be too anal about some of this or it will drive you mad.

Lots of subtle differences, but it's still a wonderful companion piece (taken by the same photographer during the same photo shoot). That is the first patch of that type I have ever seen... and still in its original packaging, no less. Has to be insanely rare... another amazing tie-in by Jimmy!

Default Terrific photos Mark...

Lordstan - "OK had a busy week or two"

I would say so! Two flat out terrific Gehrig images and a nice looking Matty with fellow HOFer Edd Roush.

Well done Mark, well done.

Ben, that really is a great Burke photo of 'ol Diz. Just so everyone knows, I went to Ben for his expertise on Type1 photos, specifically regarding the Dizzy
Dean, and although he wanted to add it to his collection, he was willing to back off and not compete with me to purchase it. It wasn't until I contacted him to say I wouldn't be bidding due to some great autograph opportunities that had presented themselves, that he decided to bid.
Thanks Ben for sharing your knowledge and your friendship! Also thanks to Mark, Jimmy, Scott, Jodi, and all the other members of this great board that have helped not only with my collecting, but that have helped provide a great place to shelter myself from a very hectic job. You guys are what's good about this hobby!
Now, I was able to pick up a couple of minor Burke's for a price a just couldn't resist.

Just send the cards to Coach's--I'm sure they can get 'em signed for you.

Beautiful photos, Mark.

More May pickups - 1961 Crosetti signed topps yankee team card, which will go nicely with my 61 team project, and two pickups for the start of the Sporting news 1909 - 1941 record books I'm collecting.
