I've been collecting David McDonald cards with as many tough backs as possible:

Be well Brian

PS Only the American Beauty of David has a crease....

PS 2 Hi John, I could use that Carolina Brights for my collection... trade you a Murphy/Batting for it...

Default What do I bring?

Some knowledge of caramel cards and my two passions, the T207 and M116 sets. I've learned a great deal from my years on this board, everything from spotting altered and fake cards to education on sets I knew very little about previously like the pre-1900 cards.
I like to think that I also bring friendship and have greatly appreciated all the many collectors I have known, both those I met in person and those I know only from cyberspace but have formed friendships with. I also have learned to appreciate constructive criticism and on the flip side, have learned to tune out the smart-asses who are few in number.

To the table I bring....place settings. And witty repartee....plus a healthy dose of annoyance. My dream is to some day contribute half the amount that I get from these boards...

I guess I bring a desire for knowledge, especially about T206, ATC and ALC. Also a penchant for Topps oddball stuff on the other side and a whole bunch of research material, which I'm always happy to dig into if someone has a request.

I try not to bring a negative attitude and stay out of trainwreck threads since I have enough stress at work. I consider the hobby just that, a hobby and try to keep it fun.

To be honest with you, I don't bring a hell of a lot to the board. But, sometimes you just gotta say WTF.

I guess I bring knowledge of wrappers, but no one ever seems to ask about them.
Since joining the Board, your passion for caramel cards has led me to begin collecting them in earnest. Your knowledge of other vintage cards has started me on the journey into collecting other sets, like the M101-2, and variations in sets like R315, R314, etc. In other words, you guys have cost me a lot of money!
The BST has been outstanding and have done several deals there. More to come I hope. Also hope the knowledge shared and humor continue. My only regret is that I did not know about this Board earlier.

Jeff, even though I don't collect wrappers I found your article on them in Old Cardboard fascinating. I've only had a few...the common Gehrig Goudey and some 60's Topps.
