I thought the d380 Joss was a good buy, thought about another bid at the end but didn't pull the trigger. I'm sure I'll regret that.
Also thought the 1891 Conly Studio cabinets went cheap. On the other end, this for $9400 is crazy... ![]() Someone really overpaid for the e107 Keeler too. |

Hi Scott,
I think I know exactly which one you won. Would the first name be Honus and the last Wagner?? ![]() And no, not the T206......

Lost out on both lots I wanted: The 1869 Red Stocking CDV ($11,750) and the Wheeling Imperial cabinet with Sol White ($17,625), both with juice.
Yeah Phil, I figured you'd be after the Wheeling cabinet! Sorry you didn't get it. I was also surprised how high it went. |

I picked up lot #44--Nice N172 Louisville Wolf and uncatalogued 1890 "NL" version of Mullane kinda hidden in there (amongst some other stuff).

Wow Jeff. I didn't notice that that Ruth had gone for that much. You're right. It seems crazy even considering that the card appears from the scan to be a great candidate for a grade bump.

That Ruth #53 only makes sense if you can have a wrinkle removed, resubmit and voila a 7 or 8 appears on the flip

That Ruth was a card that Peter S was after; that explains the high price.

Amazing how thw the words "cheap" and "deal" are used for single cards that cost more than my first house! Don't let the media know about the prices realized in this auction or the "recession" will be officially over. I never new there were so many multi-millionaires in this hobby, I can't even afford the buyer's premium on 99% of these items.
![]() Congrats to all the winners & enjoy!

I ended up winning this lot of 5 classic post-war cards, which I'm quite pleased about:

Hey M's fan!! I liked that lot, but thought it went kinda high based upon past selling prices....you probably would have done better picking them off one by one on Ebay.....

I appreciate the honest input. At a total of $2925 for this lot #635, I figured based on current eBay prices that this price was about the same as the eBay auction value of each of these cards. Maybe I overestimated eBay prices by some. These were all cards I wanted, so I did save some time by snagging the whole lot. I knew I wasn't getting a deal, but 'm okay with the price.
