Because it is a trimmed copy. Note the tiny black dot on the right hand bottom which matches the highest part of the Pebble Beach advertisement. Also the dimensions match as it is short and has a postcard back.

Dan, that make sense, whoever trimmed it did a very good job as it looks almost factory cut like that--but I do see now the black spot that corresponds to the top of the "h" at the end of the "Pebble Beach" script logo normally seen on these.

BBSD: That is a truly Awesome photo of the Clipper. Not a lot of fans at old Seals Stadium that day. Wish I could have been there.

Larry Moe e-mailed me, told me he was getting a kick out of this thread, and, because he hasn't quite got the hang of the Net54 posting mechanism, asked me to post some of his Zeenuts (he's got more than a few). Haven't met Larry but he and I have done a little bit of Zeenut/Obak swapping. Told me he'd been collecting for a while. Recently ran across an ad he placed looking for Zeenuts, Obaks and Bell Brands in a 1973 The Trader Speaks. I guess that qualifies as "a while".

These babies are from 1914. Thanks, Larry. Love 'em.

Larry Moe sent a few more Zeenuts to share. (Anybody have a 15 Zee they want to bequeath me? Only year I need to have a 1911-1938 run of typecards).

Also, I had a nice exchange of e-mails with a fellow whose uncle Merton Nelson pitched for the SF Missions in the late 20's, and would have played in Rec Park (cf. post #1). He shared a few pages he had written for a family account including this nifty picture of the exterior in 1928. Thanks, Eric. Uncle had a few Zeenuts; if anybody has any please post 'em. We'll make him an honorary Seal for this thread.
