Up for sale tonight is a very rare 1949 Type I - Press Photo picturing members of the Negro League's Memphis Red Sox team including Hall of Famer, Willie "Devil" Wells. As you probably know, original Negro League press photos are extremely scarce, especially a true Negro League piece and not a Winter League photo from Cuba/Puerto Rico/Mexico, etc. This beauty has been graded and encapsulated by Beckett Grading Services as a BGS 3 (VG) and I have provided scans of the front and back of the photo below for your review.
