One good thing... the card may well make its way back to the National Baseball Museum.
A second possible good thing, they might try to do a better job of keeping up with their stuff. Obviously, the theft is wrong, that should be prosecuted. But the Hall needs better safeguards in place for their baseball relics. A final thing that probably won't come to pass... what if the folks at Cooperstown decided to not mark up any more true treasures by putting marks like "PD" on the back with a red Sharpie. Unbelievable. Maybe they hole-punch cards like that and string 'em together with a cord to deter theft... yea, that's the ticket! |
