Hi Jeff,

I was thinking about opening an ImageEvent account. I was wondering if you could answer a quick question. If you have a folder for say E or T cards and upload 20 photos, and then at a later date you add more photos and want them to show chronologically, is it easy to move the sequence around or do they just appear in the order in which you upload them?

Mike

You can move images around one-by-one within a folder quite easily. IE has quite a few ways to cherry out a folder/album.

IMO ImageEvent is the best site to host your pictures. I especially like how there are no ads (Photobucket).

Jeff, nice cards! The C55s are awesome... You have a very diverse collection. That's refreshing! Just don't let The Monster take over...

Jeff- just a FYI- Image Event counts every version of an image when totaling up the number you have. If you have your albums set up for a thumbnail, a medium and a large image that counts as 3. You have yours set up as medium, exif, and the thumbnail. So in reality under your plan you'll have 500 images to upload, and it looks like you've got about 140 or so left to reach your max.
BTW, your site looks great, good job!

This copy is from ImageEvent's website:

* Every original image uploaded, generates up to 5 more stored images. That is a total storage of 9000 possible images for premium members. Images are generated from small Thumbnail to XX-Large preserving original size and quality. Each original image can be zoomed in 7 sizes. Select the default size and which image sizes are viewable in each album.

** Storage is based on number of original images stored on ImageEvent. You may reuse, add or delete photos whenever you want - as long as you stay within your image storage capacity. Additionally documents and video clips-- each document and video page counts as one image. Counting by number of images is easier -- and gives you more flexibility.

So this leads me to believe that, if you choose to display your images in multiple sizes, only the original upload counts against your total.

thanks Jeff, they must've changed that recently. I went around and around with them over this about 2 years ago, and they said every version counted, and pushed me to get the unlimited account. It ended up being a lot easier than deleting formats.
The nice thing about the site is that when you do go over your limit you can upgrade and it's prorated.
For a long time it wouldn't accept .psd files, but now does. They do seem very good at continually upgrading the service, and I'm sure you'll be really happy.

Here is the email I just received from ImageEvent:

Dear Jeff,

It doesn't matter how many generated images you want to be created, such as Medium, Large, X-Large-- Each image uploaded counts as 1 picture against your account. File Size nor amount of generated images matter. Every image uploaded counts as only 1.

We have recently made it more favorable to you, as now Video images, RAW Images, and Documents also only count as 1 image to your count.

So, essentially, yes you get 1,500 images you can upload to your Premium Account.

You can also always add 1,500 more images to your account for a one-time fee of $24.95 (never charged again).

Thanks JP. I don't know if many members collect the C55 or C56 hockey issues, but they rarely come up for auctions from what I've seen (most have high BIN prices). Much harder to find at reasonable prices than their T206 counterparts IMO.
