those two pictures look the same to me, one just appears to be cropped down a bit to fit the charm

Thats what I thought but how do you explain the shadow over the face of mine?Is it a separate photo of the same player or just some editing of the photo when it was cropped to a headshot?

The other has a shadow as well, just lighter, plus the image is faded alot more. it could also have been lightened... not sure, but it looks the same to me

Played with the contrast and they look like they may be same photo with different croppings.

Default Bob--

I started a thread about these charms a couple of yrs ago:

http://www.net54baseball.com/showthr...ghlight=charms

At that point I determined the pic you have to be Wally Westlake. I'll let you read the thread & decide!

Thanks for the refresher course, Fred.

So does a Snider exist, or was he a misidentification on earlier versions of the checklist?

Default Interesting Conundrum

The player (whoever it is) in the photo appears definitely to be in a batting pose (not follow-through) and a left-swinging one at that. That would seem to rule out Reese, who was right-handed. Snider was a left-side batter, but I agree with other posters that it does not look like him. My first impression was Willie Jones, but he was also a righty. Is it for certain that the photo is a Brooklyn player?
