Fred Cone second in the top row and Sam Jackson first in the second row. These scorecards were auctioned a second time in an REA auction in 2000, I believe.
Hi Barry. I'm currently cooling my heels in Erwin, TN, 340 miles into my journey. |

Thanks for the info Gary.
Does anyone have the REA catalog for 2000? Maybe the images in the REA catalog are better than the ones from the 1992 Leland catalog. |

There is also another lot of three - Birdsall of Boston, Leonard of Boston and Kimball of Cleveland. Last edited by Baseball Rarities; 04-12-2010 at 03:56 PM. |

The scorecard photo 2nd from left on the top row (below far right) is definitely (I think - it is a bit blurry) not the same guy in these 2 photos (below left) identified as Cone (correctly?). What is strange is that he does resemble Cone as depicted in a team woodcut - below 3rd from left - in fact it appears the woodcut was made from that scorecard photo.

Hi Gary- hope you are doing well. For those who don't know, Gary is in the process of hiking the entire Appalachian Trail, about 2200 miles! I guess he took a break to catch up on Net54.
