First Renata Galasso vending box: 1977 Completely hooked: About 2 minutes after the vending box arrived. 33 years here.

I started in 1987 when at the age of 7 and have been collecting ever since. So I guess that makes 23 years this year. Of course my collecting interest has changed too many times to count but that wasn't the question.
