First set I remember collecting as a kid was 1961, but I took an extended sabbatical (Barry, can I take a sabbatical if I don't have "tenure?") from 1969-1985. So, I'm around 33 years as an active collector.

Started in 1987 as a 6 yr old but stopped when I was 13. Just got back into it via the vintage route a couple years ago, so I will say 9 years total.

Default Since 1957, more or less

Bought my first pack of baseball cards in April 1957 just before I turned 8 years old but I had picked up a Davy Crockett card or two the year before. (Didn't know baseball cards existed but it would not have mattered. Walt Disney's Davy Crockett was THE BEST to most any child of that era.)

Started collecting when I was 9, in 1987, took a break in high school, and have been collecting ever since. So about 20 of my 32 years here.
