Default centering

This question's answer(s) might be clearly divided based on what your preference is on centering (stating the obvious). I like the 40....even for the same price...the $50 less is an added bonus to me. regards

I usually prefer cards with better centering so I choose the first one.

I probably fall into the minority but I like #2. The centering is off, but for me the corners and the vivid color would make up for it.

I like the SGC 40. It is probably too late now, but I wish SGC would change their standards on centering.

Agree about the vivid colors on the second one, so that's the one I'd choose.

I like the $250, its much nicer at first glance.

Better Corners, better color, and being off center to the top, eye appeal is OK because its a horizontal card.

Id pay that extra 20%

Default 2nd one hands down

I would pick the second card without hesitation. Much better color and condition. I have never regreted paying more for a nicer example!

#2 for me as well. Corners and bolder colors are more appealing to me.

I hate o/c cards. I vote for the 40.

The 40 for me. I can't handle centering to the top. The 40 looks like how a baseball card should despite not as bright color compared to the 50.

Interesting question on many levels.

As they're presented, I'd probably go with the 50. The corners and color are much nicer. The corner wear on the 40 seems a bit much for the grade, as it goes into the design.

The other interesting things are that the cards are presented differently, one with the holder upright, the other with the card upright. I wonder if they were presented equally how many of us would make a different choice. I tried it, and it's a much closer decision.

Another point is whether the colors are correct. The first one seems a bit more yellow overall, which can be typical of camera images without enough light. Even if scanned the colors could be off of what's "real". So maybe if they were both in hand it would be an even closer decision.

Steve

Default #2 for Me

I am admittedly more anal about corners than centering and the colors on #2 make it an easy choice as far as I am concerned.

I'd take number two as well. If the problem was left/right centering I'd probably answer differently.
