Guys:
Thank you for all of the suggestions. Right now I am leading towards the Del Howard. The reason? Gorgeous colors and what appears to be part of baseball stadium stands on the horizon. It just screams vintage to me.

Hey Paul.
Good luck with your quest - for reference, here's the Camnitz Jantz mentioned - all 9 backs. ![]() Like he says, this is one of the easier ones as those backs aren't so bad and the Camnitz is pretty common all things considered. Be careful though, next thing you know you'll be trying for a whole team! Some on the board (myself included) can attest to the addictiveness. Best of luck! |

Mike:
That is an impressive set you have there! Very beautiful! If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take you to complete it?

I am doing the same with Bill Graham. Currently have 7 different backs: American Beuaty, Broadleaf, Cycle, Piedmont, EPDG, Polar Bear and Tolstoi

Hey Paul,
Many thanks for your kind words. Pirates have been an interest for a number of years, but the T206 front/back combos for all the Pirates was instigated (so to speak) by a fellow board member (Hi Richard!) with the group of the run of Gibson cards on the site in my sig. That was late 2007. Last pickup for Camnitz was SC150/30 in Dec'09, so 2 years. It has not been a primary focus as it has been picked up and put away several times, and while I don't have many of the harder cards/backs, its been fun and a great learning experience. The threads and conversations on the board are an amazing resource. If you focus on it and pick an interesting player with a range of back, you may be surprised how quickly you could complete a run. Certain teams (and players) will prove harder than others - even with easier backs. Best of luck - I''ll be happy to help if I can! -- Mike |

The Chief Meyers portrait is definitely one of my favorite cards in the set and a lot of fun. Still have a few to go.

Wow, the Chief's eyes change from card to card so much, it's like a painting from an Edgar Allen Poe strory watching you as you walk through a haunted house.
