Those are some neat cards that are rarely seen. Thanks for sharing. That Daubert card looks a little like Joe Wood......take care

Back in the mid-90's one of the auction houses (before all the catalogues became glossy color behemoths) auctioned a lower grade near set of the Pattersons. I believe I was the underbidder on this as well as a D304 near set (described as being in wretched condition). I believe they both went under $1000. As the auction was nearing its close, I decided to drop out of both of these lots and pursue and win a complete set of 1955 Bowman football cards.
I don't even collect football cards, and just kept a few. The Bowmans are cool, but they sure remind me of my unfortunate choice every time I look at them. Brian |

Brian (and others), thanks for sharing! Great cards.
I was also wondering how rare these cards were compared to the 1923 Maple Crispette set. I looked at PSA, they graded 75 Maple Crispettes (there are 30 cards in the set). Apparently there are 50 cards in the Wm Paterson set and only 27 total graded by PSA. I did notice that SGC graded 72 cards from the Wm Paterson set. Dan |

Neat cards! I like the poses that are unique to this set as well as the detailed captions. Any ideas on pricing for your typical common card, etc..so a beginner might know what to expect if they decide to pursue this set?

Dan - these are MUCH tougher then MCs. To give an illustration, SGC has 231 graded MCs and only 72 graded Patersons. With 30 cards in the MC set, that's an average of almost 8 instances graded for each player, way more then the Patersons, where each player has only 1 or 2 graded.
