It's all relative, Barry. Folks in Kansas think Texas is on the lunatic fringe.

Has there ever been a Net 54 thread that went farther, further, and faster off the rails than this one?
Right now, if someone made a baseball card observation on here, would they have to note it as OT? |

What's a baseball card? ---and why would anyone care?

As long as we're already OT...
Word of the day: 1. Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future. |

I think this has become the thread not to discuss baseball cards. It's for filling time on a lazy Saturday afternoon (springlike in Brooklyn today).

How about "far out", which doesn't express distance but a state of mind?

What could be more appropriate at this juncture than an elephant joke?
What is the difference between a beer joint & an elephant fart?

Hey Barry--
You & I may be the only ones left alive for this thread, so here 'ya go--- A beer joint is a bar room--an elephant fart is a BARRR----OOOOOOOM! By the way, I wonder if this is the FIRST elephant joke ever on Net54? ---and if it isn't, I'll bet it's the 1st one that, because of this thread, wouldn't be considered OT! PS---Jim--You slipped in while I was typing! Good job!

So there's a guy sitting on a fence in Arizona snapping his fingers. Another guy comes up and asks him what he is doing? Guy on the fence tells him he is keeping elephants away. Guy that walked up says, there ain't any elephants for thousands of miles of here. Guy on fence says "it's working ain't it!!"
