I'm not attempting to make a universal rule, but I had some sheet cut 1948 Bowmans and they were obviously scissor cut from a sheet. No subtlty about them. For me, I'd trust a sheet cut label when the card is oversized, at least in areas. When a card is oversized, that answers a lot of questions.
A sheet cut card would grade "authentic," so in that respect its on par with trimmed. To me, the only way a sheet cut card gets a financial premium is if its way oversized, a scrap or proof. In other words, whether the Pennock is sheet cut or trimmed, I don't see the big difference. Last edited by drc; 01-14-2010 at 10:31 PM. |
