Thanks for the suggestion - if I don't get a better offer, I will sell it to the person who offered me the $600 first. However, I would like to give it a little longer - I'm not in a rush and since two people have already offered $600, there may be others interested as well.

You'd have a hard time getting $200 for that in a house auction or even on ebay...I find it hard to believe that two people reading Net54 have offered $600 for that. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but I think you're trying to drum up unreasonable offers by making that claim.

Check this auction by REA where two actual Brooklyn baseball team programs from 1889 and 1890 sold for a little over $1,000 for the pair.

One offer was not on this forum. If you read the thread, you will see the other offer.

Joe,
I know nothing about these programs. Given this, I have no comment on it's value, but I don't see any offer, of any amount, in the thread.
If your comment above refers to Barry's response
"Joe- if you are looking to sell it I would take the $600 offer. It would likely sell for quite a bit less in a baseball memorabilia auction."
I think he was giving you the advice that if he were you, he would sell the book for $600. I can't speak for him, but that's my read of it.
If this isn't what you are referring to, then I don't see it.
Mark

I guess I mis-read it as an offer. In any case, I have an offer at $600 (from a private collector - not on this board), and if anyone is interested at a higher value, I would sell it here. I am not looking to make up any numbers.

Thank you for pointing that out.

Joe- it wasn't an offer...I was telling you to take the $600 from the person who made it. Sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm with the group that believes that your program is only worth a couple of hundred dollars at best.
