A few years back on the old board we had a thread just like this and the very first thing I posted appeared on ebay within the week and I was the lucky winner. It was a copy of Guy W. Green's first booklet about the Nebraska Indians. Amazingly it is still the only copy known to me in private hands...the other two are in the Yale University Library and the Kansas State University Library.
So with that in mind the only thing on my wishlist for 2010 is the 1914 Beltzer's Nebraska Indians Postcard listed in my signature.

You know, come to think of it...
most items in my collection I found while searching in a much more broader fashion. I just don't really use specific terms when searching for stuff. I know it sounds pretty goofy and if you're married I certainly don't endorse it, but it has served me well over the years, although it can be VERY time consuming.
Same with catalogs. I will go through them over and over until something catches my eye. I write this cause I think this is a great thread and when I started to think about what is tops of my want list for the coming year now that I got the '51 Bobby Thomson Ticket Stub... I really couldn't come up with anything specifically. So...anyone else collect in this fashion or am I the lone nut-job here?

I'm with you, Jimmy...I've always subscribed to the "best available athlete" theory. My best discoveries usually come when I'm most open-minded to collecting opportunities. When I'm looking for nothing, I'm more likely to see everything. The Net54 board has helped broaden my awareness...and that makes my eyesight better!

2010 Wishlist...
Anything Nashville from the Southern Assoc or Southern League Minor Leagues ! (A Cap or Jersey would be real nice, but I would settle for much less if I could find it)

It's been so long since I added any baseball to my collection I almost forgot I collect it...
