Neat Mays card. I hadn't noticed this type before, so I looked it up (from FKW's site http://centuryoldcards.com):

"RARE - These 2.5" by 3.5" crude blank backed cards are fairly rare, and were attached to a small white plastic statue with a rubber band. They were made by Robert Gould Inc. of New York. There are 2 notches on the sides and 2 holes punched into the card so the rubber band can attach the card to the statue. The individual cards are actually worth roughly six times more than the individual statues. There are 28 numbered cards in the set."

Here's a great Aaron uniform sold by Heritage Auctions back in October 2007. There's no question that the Braves had the best uniforms in the Majors.

Default Just picked up a pair of Clemente original TYPE I photos...

taken by noted photographer Ken Regan. Try and ignore the water mark logo in the middle of each image. I'll take new pictures once they arrive.

Default Boy Mark. Those photos of Mays and the 500 HR Club are terrific!

I just love them. Haven't seen either one before (which is one of the best things about collecting News Service Photos). Thanks for sharing and would certainly like to see more of your collection.

Best, Jimmy

Thanks for the kind words Jimmy.
The more I am on this board, the more I realize how much great, and undiscovered, stuff there is.

Tonight I am going to post something that will make all NY Giants fans cringe, and perhaps, cry a little. I just have take the pic tonight. Look on the "Giants" thread later.
