Couldn't let this thread go by without posting this one...
1919 Reds Pennant from the year they "defeated" the Black Sox in the infamous 1919 World Series. A rare and historically significant pennant. Also a late 1930s pennant with an incredibly detailed depiction of Crosley Field... |

Great stuff Mark. Those silk banners must be extremely scarce as I dont think I have seen any of the three you posted. I've seen the Tigers version several times but no Reds.
Here's a piece to go along with the 1919 Reds pennant you posted. Hopefully I will get around to getting it framed soon. |

And Brock, what is that great looking piece you posted? Can you add some close-up scans for us old guys please. Best, Jimmy |

Shortly after moving to Ohio, a newspaper classified ad led me to an old bar in a small town north of Columbus. The walls were covered with original baseball photos and panoramas but years of exposure had damaged most beyond repair. Alas, I sold this 1919 Reds panorama within minutes of opening my table at the Atlanta National in 1992.

Thanks Jimmy and Brock... This "Ohio Baseball" thread still hasn't received it's proper dues (I had to go all the way to page 4 just to revive it!) So I'll scrounge up more stuff hopefully before too long...
Brock - that piece is amazing, and is begging to be framed. So many options on that one... please be sure to "show and tell", after you've had a chance to frame it. |

I previously posted these usher badges in the pickups thread, but after receiving them in the mail last week decided to pop them in here, too, because they're much nicer in hand than what I expected. Pretty heavy and high quality, and bigger than I imagined (although the dimensions were clearly stated in the auction catalog -- am I the only one that happens to?).
The fact the one clearly is League Park is exciting for me, because other than a folding chair and brick, I don't have any items from the actual ballpark. My guess is the other two are from League Park, too, but obviously because of the lettering that's just an educated guess. |

Our signature endorsed Edd J. Roush, correct hand, Ken Wel buckle back fielders glove, and a very substantial Roush pro model bat (old timers/ coaches ??)...
