There has to be a few others out that that have interest in these sets as they have been talked about some in the past. Other examples please.

I find the #14 Ivy Wingo Maple Crispette card sort of strange. Reason being
I've have never seen the variation (last name only), after viewing over 30 Wingo's with full name only ( Ivy Wingo). I'm starting to believe the variation does not exists.. That being said I hope someone proves me wrong. I would love to see the Maple variation. If you or if you know anyone who has one (variation) lmk. Maybe Eric Eichelkraut might chime in, another Maple collector with knowledge whom I respect. |

I got an email from Eric regarding the variation a while back.
It seems the bold print full name Ivy Wingo is a variation and the last name variation Wingo has never been viewed, at least not by Eric. Could this be the variation; Bold print variation mentioned but mistakenly misprinted by SCBC? I have a strange feeling it’s the real variation!!! I've never seen another bold print wingo. Would anyone like to confirm or dispute this claim? ![]() ![]() Sorry for all the maple talk, I'm sure some of you are sick of hearing about my maples. I just love the set. ![]() Last edited by V117collector; 10-04-2009 at 10:36 PM. |

Seems like maybe it was the printing machine adding too much color. If his name was printed in a different color or spelled different, that would be a variation.

I don’t know why but it seems very obvious the bold name Ivy Wingo is a bleeder, which was over looked by the manufacturer and was given a pass for distribution. I have a feeling that some collectors noticed the bold name and considered it as a third variation which was confirmed by Eirc. The bold face is possibly most likely a variation but just slightly rarer then the regular print. I went through some of my maple records and found another bold face print which sold above market value.

Ahh… I don’t consider it a highjack; both sets are from the 20’s plus variations and black and white. So calling it a highjack would be an overstatement.. A drunk on the plane would be more appropriate..
