Lotsa great pix at the Library of Congress site (your tax dollars at work). Try this link for some awesome panorama photos: http://www.loc.gov/topics/baseball/photos/panorama.html
Click where it says "View more panoramic baseball photographs"; it will bring up a list of photos. From there you can pick a photo and you will be given the choice of downloading an "uncompressed archival TIFF version"; if you are on dial-up, click "retrieve" and go out for a cup of coffee and a piece of pie. Also, if you root around the LOC site, you'll be able to find tons of old Bain photos in pretty good resolution. As for hockey, wish I knew.
