In the Spring of 1949, I opened one of my first Leaf Gum packs and in it was a Babe Ruth card. As a 10 year old, I was thrilled. Especially
when I flipped it over and read Ruth's bio. That started me reading books about the Yankees. First, about the Highlanders and I still recall being very impressed with Hal Chase. When I returned to the BB card hobby in the 1970's, I acquired my first T206 card. It was the Blue portrait card of Chase. As you can see here, I am still collecting this card. There are 28 known T-brand backs. I need only two more T206's....CYCLE 460 and DRUM. This T206 is one of the 6 super-prints in the set. It was not printed with the AMERICAN BEAUTY 460 and the UZIT backs. A really rare BROAD LEAF 460 back is possible....however, I have never see it. Also, I need the T213-2, T214 and T215.
