Drop the scissors! 100% leave it alone.
Buy an appropriately sized Rigid Card Holder and it will be protected, it should only cost $1.50-2.00 or so for the holder. -Rhett

It will work
I did manage to find a big enough top loader, and although can't zip up the binder all the way it only sticks out about 1/2" so it will work. I would still venture to guess that originally these were put in frames of the owners choosing..... but we must save what we can eh?

1- Do not cut it.
2- I'd store it flat in a plastic bag. As you get more M114s you can stack them in there. 3- I've seen a big collection in those giant top loaders as shown. Storing that way takes a lot of space. 4- I'm not a fan of the framing suggestion, it isn't that valuable... unles it is to you becuase he's a great uncle or something.

In the past Ive framed large pieces by buying 2 pieces of plexy glass, drilling holes along the edges through both, and then used the same type of 2 piece screws used in some of the older screw downs. I even polished the edges to make them smooth. It comes out very nice and you can view the item front and back.
