Here's more...

* 1929 Athletics World Champions Lamp (just acquired!)
* A terrific 1911 Panorama Composite of Connie Mack's A's
* The Chein Bank, which is always found in dreadful condition (it took me over 6 years to find one that was free of dents and abraisions)

Still more (perhaps my favorite A's item...) This White Elephant Statue was given to attendees of a 1911 Banquet in conjuction the Athletics and the BBWAA. The ceremony was held to celebrate the Athletics World's Championship of 1911.

The White Elephant Statue is accompanied by an exceedingly rare original invitation to the event, addressed to a Mr. Malcolm McLean. The invitation is printed on thick cardboard stock, with a gorgeous White Elephant Gold Seal embossed at the top...

Thanks so much, Jimmy and Rick... the lamp came from the National (in which I couldn't attend, and fortunately it did not sell...)

I must thank Carlton Hendricks for his coverage of the National... It was within his awesome photo spread that I noticed the lamp. Thanks also to Net54 "forum gurus" Mike and Ryan, who identified it as being in Bryan Dec's Booth.

I am such a sucker for any of the early figural stuff, that I couldn't resist going after it. Here's a better close-up of the lamp's ornate Elephant Base...
