Sounds like a very cool project idea, a large group of low grade commons would make for a great collection.
I'd agree with Leon on $200-400 for true beaters. |

When I was talking 200-400 my guess, on the lower end, my guess was based on cards that look much worse than the one above with some paper gone. I am talking about really well loved cards, totally creased up with mold and pieces missing to boot. A nice poor conditioned card could look like a vg on the front with a spec of paper loss on the back (even on a blank back for crying out loud!!). And I would think that PR card would sell for closer to a gd+ card..The lower the grade the more the relativity. It could be a neat project.....

Thanks for the replies so far. I'm fine with absolute beaters so that's the sort of card I was asking about. $200-400 sounds like it might work for me just as long as I can still see the face of the player on the card, I'd probably be ok with it.
Barry, a good point....maybe I could start off with a particular team or something. Well, actually, I'd probably better just take whatever's available....beggers can't be choosers. Brian, I remember speaking to you previously about the HOFers. I used to collect those actually and it wasn't long before I had all my funds tied up in about 8-10 cards. Not much fun there so I'll steer clear of you on the HOFers... Thanks guys! Brian |

have always liked this set. the history, scarcity, and awesome black and white look has always done it for me. Because of cost have only been able to gather 8 fairly decent commons. Would enjoy seeing someone put together a common set. good luck !

Is the Wagner a common?
I hope so.

The E107 is such an iconic set, and there will always be interest for commons as well as Hall of Famers. Commons in particular are much more affordable than in the past so now might be a good time to pick some up. Good luck with your new endeavor, Brian.

Brian,
it looks like it is the best of times to go for some low grade favorites and just see what happens. and the trading will be loads of fun as part of the process. all the best!!! barry |
