Unless there is something that doesn't meet the eye from the scan, the Bender should be a 40 and the Brown a 30. There are some tobacco stains below Bender's collar that look like they may have been lightened. If so, and if the paper was damaged, then you are looking at a 30.

A little bit tough to tell from the scans, but presuming they both graded numerically (i.e. the Brown isn't short and the Bender isn't separating/delaminating at the bottom right corner), I would think that the Brown would grade a 20 due to the heavy crease and the paper loss on the back under the word percentages. I would think that the Bender could get a 30 on a good day, but the trifecta of the mark on the bottom, the staining on the front and back, and the wrinkling on the right border most likely knock it down to a 20 though.

So, presuming they graded numerically:
Bender 20
Brown 20

I am going to go with a 40 on the Bender and a 30 on the Brown.

I'll bid 20 on the Bender and 20 on the Brown. If I win the cards, I plan on flipping them on the B/S/T board for a huge profit. Thanks for the contest Leon...

Lovely Day...

I would give both a "20", with the Brown being a bit better.

I purposely looked at both before scrolling down the answers below. My immediate thoughts were 40 (3) on the first one and 20 (1.5) on the second one. If those are in fact markings, then change the 40 to a 30 and keep the 2nd one the same at 20.

I say 40 on the first, 30 on the second. And I'm probably wrong.

T205s are generally graded tough...

I would say 30 for the first card. 20 for the second.

Again, my scanner proved to me what SGC already knew. These cards look incredible in hand. The crease in the Brown barely shows with the naked eye. I guess this is the reason most people compliment the cards I sell...they DO look better in person. The only gripe I guess I still have is with the Bender. It is a Polar Bear. It does have a few tobacco stains. But shouldn't it still be a 40? I have seen far worse cards, mostly with corner wear, in the 40/3 holders. They are both SGC 30/2's:

I agree that SGC is tough on t205s. No doubt there. I have 3s that should be locks for 4s. Oh well....the cards still look nice.

Default My Thoughts

I think the Bender is graded a bit low. A 40 seems more like it to me.

I would resubmit the Bender. I've seen cards with heavier creases grade a 40. The T206 Wagner sold by Phillip Weiss graded a 40 and it had a pretty big crease. Wish there was more consistency with grading. There has to be a better way.
