cards look legit. All his buying feedback are from good sellers. He only has 4 selling feedbacks and one of them is from a board member leidemer-this guys first name is George and he just sold most of a graded 206 set on ebay. Not sure how much George reads the board but we had a few emails when he was selling his 206 set.
Maybe Geotge will chime in and say if he remembers the deal the 2 of them had. March 08 is not that long ago. Seems like alot of $$ will be left on the table from not being a regular seller-too risky as a seller-might get a good deal as a buyer but personally I would leave this one pass.

It looks like the reserve has not been met on these cards yet. It seems to me that a scammer would not put reserves on his cards, maybe the seller is just testing the market with high reserves.

Way back when, when I first posted on the Full Count Board (predecessor to this one for you newcomers here), I learned the mantra, "buy the card, not the holder." As much as I respect Rob, I disagree on GAI. If the card looks nice I hope people stay away because it is in a GAI slab, maybe it will help my chances.

Bob,
Maybe one day you'll get burned by them (i hope not) like I did and you'll have a little cracking party...like I did. ![]() Rob |

i agree with robert...i only recommend buying GAI cards in person, less chance of a surprise.

If you look at the seller's fairly long buying history, he regularly purchased from well known and reputable card dealers (Kit Young, Bill Henderson, Burbank). This is a good sign, as that's the kind of history you would expect from someone who gathered a nice collection of genuine cards. You can tell a lot about someone by his purchase history. You're going to have more confidence in someone's autograph collection when you find out he had a history of purchasing from dealers like Richard Simon, Mike Gutierrez and Lelands.

It may be that he had written off ebay as a selling platform (as I had) and finally broke down and started selling on Ebay again (as I have). I think I went about 6-7 months without selling anything on Ebay.
