Mike, Nice p/u on the tankard...I have an uncomplete set. If yours is the same one I saw on eBay like last week, I had it in my watch list but it got out of hand... Recently I just read something that made me realize the pitcher and mugs/tankards were essentially for beer...I never thought too much about it...I just knew they are nice looking...I never thoujght too much about what kind ov beverage they were used for....Greg T. may know if they were for beer

It was on ebay Carlton, but for $177 it wasn't out of hand IMO.
As for the use of these mugs, let's think about that scientifically. Harvard boys from wealthy families + no drinking age back in the day + tankards = beer drinking out the wazoo. There...that proves it...they are for beer. |
