The only fat borders I could find are from series 8.

Frank you are so very right. But one reason that I believe the borders are wider is by comparing the cards in the T-210 set with the T-211 Red Sun set as the cards from that set were wide.Do the comparison with the same player in the T-210 to the T-211's and you should see the same. This is part of the T-210 article I am working on.However if anyone wants a copy of the article I am not going to post it on the board I am going to send it via email. So anyone interested in the article you can PM me your email addy and I will send once I get it done.Still doing lots of research and I have some nice Old Mill Ads as well.
Hope that cleared that up a bit as I had a majority of the T-211's and I compared them with the T-210's now I know the series 2 are not in the 211's but my other thought is the Old Mill Cabinet H-801-7 cards as there are cards from that set that are found in Series 2. Speaking of the Old Mill cabinet cards,Does anyone know why they were given the "H" Designation?I have my reason on that topic too but I am off too work ,something to think about and I will give my answer once I get home tonight. The answer is very simple here is a hint around 85% had tack holes in the corners. And why do you think the old mill cabinet cards border color looks diff. that too is part of the answer.THINK ON!!!!!! ;-) Last edited by Old Mill Man; 07-02-2009 at 05:49 AM. Hey there, Ralph,
Here's my lone T211 Red Sun, Bayless of Atlanta, and he has wide borders. The other T211 I had was in a bit better shape, and had thinner, what I'd deem normal, margins. So this one supports what you're saying, right Ralph?? |

I see it... and don't know what to do if others can't.
Anyone else see it?? What do I need to do? |

I don't see the Red Sun either, and I meant to tell you the other night, that that your Hub scan did not come through either... (I would love to see the Hubbard BTW)
- Not sure how to resolve your dilemma... Ask Leon, possibly, maybe Brian... JJ

Yes Frank that is what I was saying the most popular wide border one is Hart-Montgomery but yes if you do a side by side comparison you will see what I mean as the 211's are wide bordered as most of the 210 series 8 are but note it is most of just a portrait and the old mill cabinet cards are from series 2 which can be found with wide borders. The Old mill cabinets were given the "H" designation because they were used as advertising in the store. That is why you see most with tack holes and the sun bleached the colors out of the borders. As I have been told by some of the older collectors the cabinet cards were not redeemed with a coupon thus tyhey were intended to be used for displaying purposes of the cigarettes and the card influenced the buyer like getting a toy in a box of cereal.Just my two cents.I don't see the 211 Frank.
