Some people see these cards as nothing special and that's OK.

Others see them as insight into the printing process or something truly unique.

The select group of people that enjoy these cards are more than willing to pay a premium for them as their populations are low. And I find that those who collect these cards are more likely to hold on to them thus reducing the number of cards coming to market.

Default postwar misprints, etc.

I've been collecting them for a while Bob; I try to get a front misprint, miscut and blank back from each issue, preferably a HOFer. They can bring a premium if marketed right. If anyone is interested, I have quite a few miscuts, misprints, wrong backs and blank backs doubles from the 1950s-1970s for sale or trade.
