Here are a few of mine. Each of these represent highly difficult, if not unique, variations altogether. The e90-3 Payne and e94 Doolan both are the way they are because, presumably, a color was omitted from their original print run. This is the only blue Payne I've ever seen although the e90-3 set is known for the occasional color gaffe. While there are several orange e94s floating around out there, this is the only "silverback" I've ever heard of.
Regarding the F50 Harrington's Smith....not sure what happened here. F50s are typically a black and white card so I'm not sure how one managed to all of a sudden appear with color. You can see that even the font on the back is green too! misprints.jpg

Some people see these cards as nothing special and that's OK.
Others see them as insight into the printing process or something truly unique. The select group of people that enjoy these cards are more than willing to pay a premium for them as their populations are low. And I find that those who collect these cards are more likely to hold on to them thus reducing the number of cards coming to market.

postwar misprints, etc.
I've been collecting them for a while Bob; I try to get a front misprint, miscut and blank back from each issue, preferably a HOFer. They can bring a premium if marketed right. If anyone is interested, I have quite a few miscuts, misprints, wrong backs and blank backs doubles from the 1950s-1970s for sale or trade.
