1949 Remar Bread set info

Bryan, as has been mentioned the Remar cards aren't that tough to find. The 1946 is the toughest with the 1949 being the easiest in my experience. The related Sacramento Solons (Sunbeam Bread) sets are both quite a bit tougher than the Remar. A related set that is less available (but also not that tough) are the Smith's Clothing cards, they tend to sell for a bit more than Remar but aren't too bad.

The keys to the '49s are the cards of Billy Martin and HOFer George Kelly. However, there are cards of Negro Leaguers Alonzo Perry and Artie Wilson that tend to sell better than the average card in the set.

The 46 and 47 sets contain a card of Manager Casey Stengel that are going to be the most expensive (other than the Short Printed 1946 Billy Raimondi who is relatively tough to find). Other than these cards the rest are basically "common" although several of the players were far from common during their time.

They did not produce a set in 1948 (But Smith's did so that set tends to fill in the gap).

The 1950 set is only slightly togher than the 1949 and has cards of Hall of Famers George Kelly and Billy Herman, along with another Artie Wilson card.
