They are separate pieces and should be interchangeable. I believe (not 100% certain) when originally sold, the cards were not inserted in the shutters in the packs, you had to do it yourself. I don't think there is an ethical problem with this. I know record dealers match albums with proper vintage jackets that are not the ones that came with the record. They just find the same jacket but in nicer shape if the record is in good shape in a bad jacket. That's not viewed as unethical either unless you try to pass off a rare jacket with a common record in it. |
