I have an old section of wall board from the press room at the old St. Louis Sportsman Park. Can anyone help identify these ball players? I had posted the catcher's pic in another forum and someone thought it was Mickey Cochrane. Does look similar - can anyone help me with these ID's? Thanks a lot for any help. |

If you don't get an answer here you may try the main board. Unfortunately it does get more folks looking at it than these other ones....regards |

I don't remember him ever being a catcher, but it looks like an older Chick Hafey? |

Actually that does look like Cochrane to me -- just not the most Cochranesque picture I've seen. |

This is my first post on NET54. Appreciate the replies and the civility!!! I may take L's advice and post on the main board just to get more opinions. I'm wavering on Cochrane, and I see the subtlety of the "ears." Thanks again |

No way that's Cochrane. I'd look at the St. Louis catchers of the time, given where it was found. Maybe Hank Severeid. |
