Maybe on this one we'll agree to disagree, but it's hard for me to understand that how the grading company is helping the purchaser make the best decision possible when the market values a 2 more than a 7.

Also, in regard to your point that a 10 should be a perfect card -- so that its corners, contrast, resolution, centering, etc. are all perfect -- while I agree that in theory that should be the case, in practice it is not. I can think of many 10s that are not (close to) perfect in all of those categories.
