Regarding the jury verdict in Joe Jackson's favor, OJ was acquitted as well (in the murder trial). And OJ's jury was a group of impartial model citizens compared to Jackson's. When the jury verdict was announced in the Black Sox case, the jurors literally carried the Black Sox out of the courtroom on their shoulders. It's hard to believe that the jury impartially weighed the evidence.
