Default Going for Number 29

Posted By: AndyH

I just have to throw my two cents in here...

I'll start with, I understand how a few of you are just really annoyed that you can't complete your sets by picking up this card on the open auction/eBay market because of this situation. But there are other places to buy cards, and you just need to find one (or have all your friends looking for you) off the internet. It may take a while, but if it's really a common, then 29 of them has hardly depleted the market and there is a dealer out there that has it priced for you. That said, and I want to be completely clear here, I feel your pain and frustration in trying to build your set and having this hurdle to clear.

Next, I think it's just so darn cool that he's going after his grandfather's cards with such vigor. It's family. And if it were me, as much as you want to complete your set, my family would trump your set and I'd be just as ruthless as long as my pockets held out. You'd just have to outbid me is all, and some of you most definately could.

Honestly, there are so many other cards that you all want in your collections, be at peace with this one and move on. Someday, you're going to see Miller, San Francisco at the bottom of a stack of Obaks in a guy's case in the corner of a show...and he'll have a $25 tag on it. And the first thing that will go through your mind is, "I wonder how much I could flip this for?" (not smiley please)

Okay, I'm done.

Thanks,

AndyH

Thanks,

Andy
