the avg. or mean is of limited relevance here--the median or mode is a more valuable measure. If nine collectors spend $3000/yr and the 10th spends $73,000, the avg will meet Bruce's 10K hypothetical yet I would imagine the 9 smaller guys could easily walk away from their memberships. In that event, since memberships are fixed in price, revenue drops dramatically.
