I have been in the same situation, occassionally, bidding on items when drinking too much. This is one of the main reasons why I snipe everything now. It gives me time to rethink everything when I sober up. It is much easier and less embarassing to cancel a snipe, than sweat out an auction hoping you do not win it, or worse...retracting the bid. (a sure way to get a seller to block you from future bids). |
