Thoughts about the hobby

I have also wondered about the future (30-40 yrs from now) popularity of vintage baseball. It doesn't seem like kids are nearly as interested in the history of the game. It seems to be more about the events and the million other choices available to them. I understand attendance and merchandice sales are up, but is the fan base really into the sport of yesteryear?
