The only Muslim country I visited was Malaysia, but I spent the least amount of time there. Muslims are a minority in India (about 15%) and a tiny minority in Nepal (about 2%). To answer your question, yes, I speak condemningly and without reservation about these types of atrocities. Generally speaking, I am appalled by a large percentage of the activities I see perpetuated in the name of Islam these days and am almost more appalled by the lack of more moderate Muslims who are willing to speak out against them. As an American living in a so-called democracy, I feel especially compelled to be a vocal critic of my own government.
